Couple FAQ

Planning a nikah, walima or Muslim wedding can feel overwhelming, especially when suppliers are spread across Instagram, WhatsApp, Google and family recommendations. PlanMyNikah is being built to make that process easier, clearer and more organised.

  1. What is PlanMyNikah?

PlanMyNikah is a UK wedding planning platform built for Muslim couples. You can use it to discover wedding suppliers, compare profiles, shortlist favourites, send enquiries and use free planning tools for your budget, guest list, checklist, payments and wedding planning.

  2. Is PlanMyNikah only for nikah ceremonies?

No. PlanMyNikah is for nikah ceremonies, walimas, mehndi events, civil ceremonies, engagement events and full Muslim weddings. The aim is to help you plan every part of your wedding in one place.

  3. Is PlanMyNikah new?

Yes. PlanMyNikah is new and currently growing its first group of suppliers. We are being honest about that because trust matters. Some profiles may be example profiles while founding vendors are joining. Example profiles are clearly labelled and are only there to show how the platform works.

  4. Are the suppliers on PlanMyNikah verified?

Every real supplier application is manually reviewed before their listing goes live. We check business identity and basic listing details. Some halal related information, such as no alcohol, prayer space, segregated seating or halal catering, may be self declared by the supplier unless a certificate or proof has been reviewed. You can read more on our How We Verify page.

  5. Does PlanMyNikah certify that a supplier is halal?

No. PlanMyNikah does not issue halal certification and does not replace official certifying bodies. We provide halal conscious filters and ask suppliers to clearly state what they offer. Couples should always ask the supplier directly about anything important to their event, especially food, alcohol policy, segregation, prayer facilities and religious requirements.

  6. Are reviews real?

Yes. PlanMyNikah will only show reviews from real couples once reviews are available. We do not use fake reviews. If a supplier has no reviews yet, we will say that clearly.

  7. Why are some profiles marked as example profiles?

Because PlanMyNikah is new, some profiles may be used to show couples and suppliers how listings will look. These are not real supplier recommendations and should not be treated as verified businesses. Real suppliers will be shown clearly once approved.

  8. Can I contact suppliers through PlanMyNikah?

Yes, once real supplier enquiries are live. You will be able to send enquiries directly through the supplier profile. If a profile is an example profile, the enquiry button should explain that it is only an example and allow you to register interest instead.

  9. Do I pay PlanMyNikah to book a supplier?

No. PlanMyNikah is a marketplace and planning platform. Your booking, payment, contract and final arrangements are between you and the supplier. Always confirm prices, availability, terms, cancellation policies and payment details directly with the supplier before booking.

  10. Are prices guaranteed?

No. Prices shown on supplier profiles are guide prices or starting prices only, unless the supplier confirms otherwise in writing. Final prices can depend on your date, location, guest numbers, package, travel, setup requirements and any extras.

  11. Can I use PlanMyNikah if I already found suppliers on Instagram or WhatsApp?

Yes. You can still use the planning tools to manage your budget, guest list, checklist, payments and wedding planning. Over time, PlanMyNikah will also help you compare suppliers more easily in one place.

  12. What planning tools are available?

PlanMyNikah includes tools such as a budget planner, checklist, guest list, seating plan, payment tracker, wedding website and AI wedding coach. Some tools may continue to improve as the platform grows.

  13. Is it free for couples?

Yes. PlanMyNikah is free for couples to browse suppliers and use the core planning tools.

  14. Do I need an account?

You can browse supplier profiles and preview planning tools without an account. You may need a free account to save your favourites, manage your wedding planning tools, send enquiries or keep your details synced.

  15. What if there are no suppliers in my area yet?

PlanMyNikah is growing city by city. If there are no suppliers in your area yet, you should be able to register interest and be notified when relevant suppliers join. You can still use the planning tools while the supplier marketplace grows.

  16. What if I can't find the supplier I'm looking for?

If you've searched PlanMyNikah and nothing matches what you need, tell us what you're looking for and our team will search our network — including suppliers who aren't listed yet — to help you find a match. Submit a vendor request online, or contact us if you'd prefer to speak to the team directly.

  17. Can I report a supplier or listing?

Yes. If something looks wrong, misleading, inappropriate or outdated, you should be able to report the listing. PlanMyNikah will review reports and may update, pause or remove listings where needed.

  18. Is my personal information safe?

PlanMyNikah only asks for information needed to provide the service, such as your account details, planning information, enquiries and saved suppliers. Personal data should be handled according to the Privacy Policy.

  19. Can my family help with planning?

PlanMyNikah is being built to support Muslim wedding planning, which often involves family input. Where available, family collaboration tools can help you organise guests, tasks and planning details together.

  20. What makes PlanMyNikah different from Instagram or Google?

Instagram is useful for inspiration, but it can be hard to compare suppliers properly. Google is broad, but it is not built around Muslim wedding needs. PlanMyNikah is designed around nikah and Muslim wedding planning, with filters for things like halal catering, prayer facilities, no alcohol, segregated seating and female staff where suppliers provide those details.

  21. How can I help PlanMyNikah improve?

You can help by using the planning tools, sending feedback, reporting anything unclear, and recommending real suppliers you trust. PlanMyNikah is being built with the community, so honest feedback matters.
