Vendor FAQ
Everything about becoming a supplier on PlanMyNikah — the Founding Vendor offer, how you get listed and verified, how couples reach you, what it costs, and how your details are handled.
-
What is a Founding Vendor?
The first 150 businesses approved on PlanMyNikah become Founding Vendors and get 12 months of Premium features completely free. It's our way of thanking the vendors who help us build a trusted platform in our earliest days. After 12 months you choose your plan on Vendor Billing, and there are no automatic charges.
-
How many Founding Vendor spots are there?
There are 150 Founding Vendor spots in total, shared across every category and city. Once they're all claimed, the Founding offer closes and new vendors join on the standard plans. The Founding Vendors page shows how many spots are still available.
-
What happens after the 12-month Founding Vendor period?
We contact you at least 60 days before your free period ends. At that point you choose a paid plan on Vendor Billing to keep Premium features, or you move automatically to Free — your listing stays live, you just lose priority placement, featured spots and the Premium badge. We will never charge you automatically.
-
Do I get a Founding Vendor badge?
Yes. Founding Vendors receive a Founding Vendor badge and a Premium Supplier badge for the active period, a Founding Vendor certificate graphic, priority visibility during launch and early access to new features. The badges show couples that you were one of the first trusted vendors on the platform.
-
How do I apply to list my business?
You apply through a short online application where you tell us about your business, your categories and your service areas. We review every application before it goes live, so there's no risk of an unfinished profile being shown to couples. You can apply as a Founding Vendor here.
-
How long does approval take?
We review every application within 48 hours on weekdays. We check your business identity, confirm any halal certificates you have declared, and make sure the listing meets our community standards before it goes live.
-
Can you help me create my listing?
Yes. If you need help setting up your listing, we can support you in person where available, over the phone or by video call. We can help with your business description, categories, pricing, service areas and photos so your profile is ready for couples to view. Just tick the listing-help box when you apply and we will be in touch.
-
What makes a strong listing?
Clear, real photos, an honest description of what you offer, accurate categories and service areas, and guide prices that help couples understand your range. Listings that are complete and specific get more enquiries, because couples can quickly see that you are a good fit for their nikah, walima or wedding.
-
What does the Free Vendor plan include?
Free gives you one approved listing, up to 5 photos, your Verified Supplier badge, trust badges, analytics and reviews, plus a lead-preview inbox so you can see when couples are interested and how much demand there is before you pay anything. Upgrade whenever you're ready to reply, send quotes and show your public contact links.
-
Can I reply to enquiries on Free?
Not yet. On Free you can see every enquiry land in your Vendor Inbox, so you know the demand is real. Replying, sending quotes and messaging back needs a paid plan — upgrade from Vendor Billing whenever you're ready to convert those leads.
-
Why do you ask for my phone number if I'm on Free?
Every vendor — including Free — gives a phone number during onboarding. It's used privately for review, admin and support if we ever need to reach you, and it is never shown publicly on your listing while you're on Free.
-
When are my phone/WhatsApp/website/social links shown publicly?
As soon as you're on a paid plan. Starter and above show your phone, WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, website and Google Business links publicly on your listing, so couples can reach you directly. On Free these stay private, ready to switch on the moment you upgrade from Vendor Billing.
-
What is the difference between direct enquiries and couple opportunities?
A direct enquiry comes from a couple viewing your listing and messaging you directly — it lands straight in your Vendor Inbox. An opportunity comes from a couple posting their requirements once through Post Requirements; matching vendors, including yours, can see a sanitised summary in Vendor Opportunities and respond with a quote.
-
How many opportunity responses do plans get?
Free is preview only — 0 responses a month. Starter gets 5 responses a month, Growth 15, Premium 40, and Elite unlimited responses plus priority opportunities. Check your usage any time in Vendor Opportunities.
-
Can I see opportunity details on Free?
Yes. Free vendors can see matching opportunities in Vendor Opportunities, including a sanitised summary of what the couple needs — category, date, budget and guest count. The couple's name, email and phone stay private. Responding with your availability or a quote needs a paid plan.
-
What happens to old leads if I upgrade?
Nothing is lost. Every enquiry and opportunity you could already see on Free stays exactly where it was in your Vendor Inbox and Vendor Opportunities — upgrading simply unlocks replying, sending quotes and your public contact links, it doesn't reset or hide anything.
-
What happens if I downgrade or cancel?
Your listing stays live on Free. You'll keep your lead-preview inbox, analytics and reviews, but you'll lose the paid-plan features — public contact links, replying to enquiries, priority placement and any packages — until you upgrade again. We never delete your listing for downgrading.
-
How does PlanMyNikah verify my business?
Every real vendor application is manually reviewed before the listing goes live. We check business identity and basic listing details. Some halal-related information, such as no alcohol, prayer space, segregated seating or halal catering, may be self-declared unless a certificate or proof has been reviewed. You can read more on our How We Verify page.
-
Can I show that I am halal-verified?
You can declare halal-related details such as halal catering, no alcohol, prayer facilities, segregated seating and female staff. Where you provide a certificate or proof and we review it, that can be reflected on your Vendor Trust centre and listing. PlanMyNikah does not issue halal certification itself and does not replace official certifying bodies — we make your offering clear and ask couples to confirm specifics with you directly.
-
What are example profiles, and will mine be one?
Because PlanMyNikah is new, some profiles may be used to show how listings will look while founding vendors are joining. These are clearly labelled as example profiles and are not real vendor recommendations. Your approved listing is a real, clearly identified business profile — it is never shown as an example.
-
How do couples find and contact me?
Couples discover you by searching and filtering — by category, city, budget and halal-conscious needs such as halal catering or prayer facilities. When a couple is interested, they send an enquiry straight from your profile, or you can appear as a match in their posted requirements. Premium and Founding Vendors get priority visibility and featured placement, so couples see you sooner.
-
Where do enquiries from couples go?
Every enquiry lands in your Vendor Inbox, where each couple conversation is kept in one place. On a paid plan you reply directly to the couple from there, and you can keep private notes on a conversation to help you stay organised. You are notified when a new enquiry or message arrives.
-
How quickly should I respond to enquiries?
As quickly as you can, once you're able to reply. Couples often message a few vendors at once, so a fast, helpful reply makes a real difference to whether you win the booking. There is no penalty for response time, but quick, clear replies tend to convert far more enquiries into bookings.
-
Is there a commission on bookings?
No. PlanMyNikah never takes a percentage of what you earn. You pay only for your listing plan — or nothing on Free — and every pound a couple pays you goes straight to you.
-
What is the difference between Free, Starter, Growth, Premium and Elite?
Free (£0) gives you one listing and a lead-preview inbox so you can see demand before you pay. Starter (£9/month) unlocks replying, sending quotes, up to 3 listings and public contact/social links. Growth (£29/month) adds higher search placement, packages and up to 8 listings. Premium (£59/month) unlocks unlimited listings, homepage eligibility and the Premium badge. Elite (£99/month) adds the highest search priority, unlimited opportunity responses and dedicated success support. Compare every plan on Vendor Billing.
-
How do paid plans work after the Founding Vendor year?
Founding Vendors receive Premium access free for 12 months. After that, you can choose a paid plan on Vendor Billing to keep Premium features, or move to the Free Vendor package. There are no automatic charges, and we contact you before anything changes.
-
Do couples pay PlanMyNikah, or me?
Couples pay you directly. PlanMyNikah is a marketplace and planning platform — your booking, payment, contract and final arrangements are between you and the couple, in line with our Terms. We do not sit in the middle of your payments or take a cut of them.
-
Can I edit, pause or remove my listing?
Yes. You manage your listing from your Vendor Dashboard, where you can update your photos, description, categories, pricing and service areas at any time. If you need to step back, you can pause or remove your listing, and you stay in control of what couples see.
-
Why are listing edits reviewed before going live?
Minor edits — like photos, pricing or your description — usually publish instantly. Changing your business name or category sends the listing back for a quick re-review, the same manual check every new application gets, so couples never see a listing that no longer matches what was approved.
-
What are vendor profiles, listings and share/QR links?
A listing is a single service couples can enquire about. A vendor profile brings together every listing from the same business in one place. Vendor Share gives you a shareable link and QR code for your profile, so you can promote it on social media, printed materials or in person.
-
How do reviews work for vendors?
Reviews come from real couples after they've used your service — PlanMyNikah never adds fake reviews. Where you have no reviews yet, your profile says so clearly rather than hiding the gap. Reviews are visible on every plan; showing them well alongside packages and trust badges gives couples more confidence before they enquire.
-
How do AI vendor tools work?
AI tools on your Vendor Dashboard can help with things like writing or improving your business description and understanding your listing quality. They assist your listing — they don't book couples, set your prices or reply to enquiries on your behalf.
-
Should I enable 2FA/passkeys?
Yes, where available. Two-factor authentication and passkeys add an extra layer of protection against your account being accessed by someone else. You can turn these on from Vendor Security.
-
How is my business and personal data handled?
We only ask for the information needed to run your listing and connect you with couples — your account details, listing information and enquiries. Your data is handled according to our Privacy Policy, and your private inbox notes are never shown to couples.
