Cookie Policy
Last updated: 29 July 2026
This policy explains how Plan My Nikah uses cookies and similar technologies, and the choices you have. Plan My Nikah is operated by PLAN MY GROUP LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17275878, with its registered office at 71 to 75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. “Similar technologies” cover anything that stores or reads information on your device for the same purposes, including local storage and session storage in your browser, tracking pixels, and the storage used by third-party scripts and SDKs. In this policy “cookies” means all of these unless we say otherwise.
We group these technologies into four categories:
- Strictly necessary: needed to run the site and the features you ask for (signing in, security, remembering your cookie choice). These do not require consent.
- Preferences / functional: remember choices you make (such as your shortlist or saved planning data) to improve your experience.
- Analytics: help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate.
- Advertising: help us measure and improve our marketing.
Cookies and similar technologies we use
The table below lists the technologies our site uses. Analytics and advertising technologies are never classed as strictly necessary. Only the ephemeral live-state use of pmn_sid is operational; retained product analytics follows your analytics choice.
| Technology | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration | Party | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase auth session (e.g. sb-…-auth-token) | Supabase (on our behalf) | Keeps you signed in to your account between page loads. | Strictly necessary | Until you sign out or the session expires | First party | No (essential) |
| pmn_marketing_consent_v1 | PlanMyNikah | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies. | Strictly necessary | Persistent (local storage) until you clear it | First party | No (essential) |
| App storage (shortlist, planning-tool caches, drafts, UI preferences) | PlanMyNikah | Remembers your saved shortlist and caches your planning-tool data so it loads instantly and works offline. | Preferences / functional | Persistent (local storage) until you clear it | First party | No (essential to the feature) |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Cloudflare | Protects our forms (sign-up, enquiries, contact) from bots and spam. | Strictly necessary (security) | Short-lived challenge token | Third party | No (essential security) |
| Sentry | Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) | Reports technical errors so we can fix them. Configured for errors only: no session replay, no advertising, no personal data. | Functional (error monitoring) | No cookies set; transient error reports only | Third party | No (legitimate interest, no tracking) |
| pmn_sid | PlanMyNikah | A random per-tab identifier used for short-lived live service state. If analytics is enabled, it also joins meaningful product events within that tab; signed-in events may be linked to the account. | Strictly necessary live state / optional analytics | Session only, cleared when you close the tab | First party | No for ephemeral live state; yes for retained product analytics |
| Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) | Measures how visitors find and use the site, in aggregate. Never receives your enquiry text or contact details. | Analytics | Up to 2 years | Third party | Yes | |
| Meta Pixel (_fbp) | Meta Platforms | Measures the effectiveness of our marketing and advertising. | Advertising | Up to about 3 months | Third party | Yes |
Note on pmn_sid: this first-party identifier exists only in the current browser tab and supports short-lived live service state. Without analytics consent, that state expires after inactivity and no page history is retained. If you enable analytics, meaningful events from the tab may be retained for up to 90 days and linked to your account when you are signed in. It is never shared with advertisers.
Which technologies need your consent
Strictly necessary and functional technologies load automatically because the site cannot work properly without them. The optional analytics and advertising technologies (Google Analytics and Meta Pixel) only run on the basis of your consent:
- The Meta Pixel is not loaded at all unless you turn on the advertising category.
- Google Analytics is not loaded at all — no script, no storage, no network request — unless you turn on the analytics category.
- Choosing Reject optional blocks both providers entirely.
How to accept, reject or change your choices
- When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject optional, or manage each category (functional, analytics, advertising) individually. We remember your choice so the banner does not keep reappearing.
- You can change your choice at any time. If you have an account, go to Account → Settings → Privacy & legal and select Manage cookie preferences to reopen the banner.
- You can also use your browser controls (below) to block or delete cookies and similar storage.
Managing cookies in your browser
All major browsers let you view, block or delete cookies and clear local storage, and offer a “do not track” or privacy setting. Check your browser’s help pages for instructions.
Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies and storage may stop parts of the site working. For example, you may not be able to sign in, submit an enquiry, or have your shortlist and planning data saved. Blocking only the optional analytics and advertising technologies will not affect how the site works for you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
